WW Wednesday: 20 in 20 - Week 1

Hi there, everyone!
Let's jump right in, shall we?
Today walking in to WW I was pretty sure I didn't have a gain coming at the scale.  I honestly struggled with my eating a bit this week and I didn't get much exercise in, so I didn't think any loss I might have would be big.

I was right.  I was down 0.4 pounds this week.

That's okay, though.
I got up and ate a healthy breakfast and didn't starve myself until noon for an artificially-lower number on the scale.  That was the healthy decision and I made it.  Little steps to a big goal, right?

So, what I learned this week: life will always throw something at you, that's why you can't use it as an excuse.  Some weeks are easier and some weeks are much much harder, but end the end we decide what to do with our bodies.

Goal for this week: Try some new meal ideas to shake things up a bit. Also, not throw away any fruit or produce because it went bad!  (I'm looking at you, Mr. Butternut Squash.)

So, how was your week?

(20 in 20 participants, please don't feel obligated to share you actual amount lost.  I am only going to share my actual during the challenge.)

I had a really good week - lost 2 pounds, and got some exercise in on 4 days this week. I'm off to a good start :)

"Ok here it goes. I didn't gain any. Now those of you that know me, I have been gaining an average of 10 # a month with the insulin usage. So not gaining is a BIG thing. I wasn't able to walk much this past week, only once. I finally have my back straightened out, thanks to Dr. Brown-Chiropractor! Now to make myself get to the church and walk. I can't do exercises, but I can walk. I am back up to 1.5 miles at this time. Can't wait till I am up to the 3 miles a day. This is a new day.....
I am so proud of Cayce, and all of you that have made the choice to change the way you eat.

Peeking out of my post-op comma to catch up on the rest of the world.

Just wanted to cheer you on! Great idea and you know I'm behind you (all! :) 100%. Wish I could somehow take part (not in weight, I've lost ten lbs so far this week :/ but I can't even do a fitness goal with the broken kneecap. Regardless, I will send cyber encouragement every week... for 20 weeks, how's that?!

Kinda disappointed. After losing 25 lbs. the past 8 months, I seem to be stuck. I have been exercising, so I am going to write it off as muscle gain. I have gone from a 38 waist to a 34, so I can see a difference, even if the scales don't. My bloodwork came back perfect this week. God continues to bless. Love you!

What kind of exercising, Daddy? Losing that 25 lbs helped your heart a lot and you know it. It's just been one week. Keep up the changes for the better!

Amber, that sounds like a great plan. I know we all will appreciate your support!
