WW Wednesday

Yes, I'm fully aware that it is no longer Wednesday.  I'm also aware that I haven't posted anything other than WW updates in a while.
( I had a smallish loss this week, btw.  Hitting goal before vacation is not going to happen...)

I have 2 weeks of school left.  Bear with me folks.

How about some random pics off my phone in the meantime?

And last but not least my favorite picture of myself to date...

WW Wednesday

So last week I mentioned being disappointed with a small gain after a week of trying really really hard.
I ate healthily and moved much much more.

I continued my efforts (but backed off the exercise quite a bit) and I had faith that it would show up this week at the scale.

I was right!

Y'all have been here with me for so long.  I first started blogging about my weight loss joooourney when I was 15 pounds down.
I had lost 17 and was feeling dispair over struggling and then gaining 2 pounds back.
I found the gain VERY discouraging.
My-oh-my how far I have come from being THAT upset over 2 pounds.
That was just a little bump!
Over the next year I had many ups and downs... literally.
But that's to be expected when you are trying to change the way you eat and how you handle your emotions from the ground up.

I'm not saying I'm perfect, cured, or a new person.

I'm saying I now choose to see the merit in the small changes for the better.  Being "boring" has been worth it!

Yesterday my grand total lost hit 70 pounds.

Yep.  I came to you with 15 gone, and you've been here for the last 55.  Thank you so much to everyone who has shown support.  I don't think you know how much your comments, texts, calls, and support has meant to me.
We bloggers can be sensitive creatures, so when we know people are reading what we share, it can make you doubt whether anyone really cares if no one responds.
I know life is busy and I am not fishing for you to reach out.
I just wanted to let you know just how much it means to me when you do.

I have 10.6 pounds to go till goal.

Hi, I'm Cayce, and I want to lose 10 pounds.
(Wow.  That sounds crazy.)

WW Wednesday

Oops, I for got a WW post last week!  Actually I realized it on Monday but I didn't want to overload you with weight-loss-joooourney talk this week.

Last week I had a nice little loss.  Perfectly respectable.  Funny I don't remember much about that week.  That's why it is good that I reflect on what I've learned every week.

So this week... yeah, this was one of those weigh-ins that makes the story better.
I got in a lot of activity over the last 7 days.  I have a goal in mind and I ate accordingly.

I KNOW I am smaller because my clothes fit differently.  I even wore a pair of previously unwearable capris out in public.
Not in the privacy of my own home, mind you.  In PUBLIC.  Muffin toppage was at a bare minimum!

Now this is why I'm not a gambling woman -- I would have bet the house that I had a loss coming at the scale.  Yep, SUPER confident and proud of myself.
I'm sure you saw this coming, but NO.  I had a GAIN.

What the mother of crap?!

Know what?  It's a-ight.  It's happened before.  My body will catch up.
Don't get me wrong, I was disappointed.  I pouted on the inside for a bit but now I'm over it.

I'm staying the course.

I'm Elmo and I Know It

BigBoy watched this at school and has been obsessed with it since.
It is a really cute parody of "I'm sexy and I know it."
I'll be back later with WW Wednesday, but first I need to get BigBoy to school and BabyCakes to the doc. Cross your fingers for no pneumonia...

Bass Lake

Sunday morning the kids were sneezing and snotting all over the place so we decided not to inflict them on our fellow church-goers.  We were 99% certain it was allergy-related but still didn't want to push it.

Instead we went to Bass Lake, a park in Holly Springs, which is the next town over.

The park is considered a fishing lake.

It has a 3 mile walking trail around it and a very nice community center.

They rent out small boats, canoes and even fishing poles, all for a low cost.

Or you can bring your own gear and fish for free.

There are benches, rocking chairs, and even public restrooms.

Even if you don't fish, this clean park is a wonderful destination for those seeking peace or just walking the dog.

You can bring your family along to explore a bit like we did.

(I don't have a lick of makeup on in this photo but at least I am in it.  Am I really that pale?)

It was a relaxing morning and the lake was a nice place for an outing, whether you're a family of four...

or you have a whole flock. ;)
