Calling all Moms!

I need your help. BabyCakes has not allowed me to get a decent night's sleep in over 2 weeks. Actually, I don't know how long it's been.
At first I attributed it to her teeth, then a cold, but now I don't know what to think. She keeps waking up in the middle of the night and resisting going back to sleep. This is very strange for her.
Sometimes she just wants to get up and play. I'm taking away her morning nap in the hopes that it will help, but last night it didn't.

Sorry this isn't a well-written post but it reflects me right now. I'm headachey and my muscles hurt.

I took some video last night of her waking up around 8, an hour after she went to bed. When she wakes up in the middle of the night I don't really talk to her, so this video isn't a good representation of most of our nighttime scenarios, but I did want to get some footage of her jumping for posterity. She is pretty cute, after all. :)

So anyway, imagine the jumping plus crying (usually just from her) and you'll get the picture for the nighttime.

Are we thinking separation anxiety? Sometimes she's just happy as can be to jump and sing "Mamamama, dadadadada!" Just a phase?
I'm having trouble seeing through the fog of my delirium.

Help me fix this now or I'm taking away the baby pics.
That's right, I'm pulling out the big guns!
;)

I wish I could help you or tell you it will go away BUT...... Audrey is 3 years and 3 months old and she STILL gets up almost every night. (She has just started this in the last year or so- as an infant and toddler she slept) I do not talk to her I pick her up and put her back in the bed. Audrey is not upset or anything when she gets up. I even ask the pediatrician about this at her 3 year check up and she said it was perfectly normal and that she was probably just checking on us and wanted to make sure I was still there. She said her youngest child did it till her was 6.
Sorry I don;t have better advice. And I SO know how you feel. Getting your sleep interrupted multiple times per night is exhausting! BUT they are cuties and it doesn't seem so bad when you see that sweet sweet smile!

Um, Jana you can keep that info to yourself next time! :) J/k, I just don't want to think that this could continue for years!

Yes, they are cuties but it's on a curve. In the middle of the night when I just went back to sleep, they are much less cute to see jumping in the crib. :)

Someday when you're hauling her teenage butt out of bed at noon, you'll watch this video and it will seem much cuter!! But for now...I sure hope she lets you get some sleep tonight!

Oh, the video already seems cute. That's why I took it.
The same puppy that poops on your carpet can be cute too, though. ;)
